hopes for the new season
here's what I am wishing for....

Cresswell no longer in the first 11 (thank you for your service)
Antonio not playing as a striker except in an emergency (thank you for your service)
Playing a left winger on the left wing (Antonio? Cornet?)
Downes proving (or not) if he can play at this level
A youth team member getting a fair crack of the whip and proving he can play at this level (thought Johnson might have done this last season but not quite)
Win the Europa League
At least quarter finals of the FA Cup
At least quarter finals of the League Cup
Way, way less of the passing backwards nonsense that we have had for (at least) the last two years
Top 8 finish
Take points off the top 6
Beat Tottenham fucking Hotspur at least once, draw the other game (remember these are 'hopes')

I think that covers it.......

Win another Cup. (Europa, FA or League Cup).

Do that and then I’m not that bothered where we finish in the league as long as it’s not lower than 17th.

If your wishes come true daz47988, there’ll be some fundamental Moyes haters having apoplectic fits when he signs a new 3 year contract….

If we find ourselves in a relegation battle come the end of march I won’t fancy our chances looking at our run in .

As things stand at this moment in time with no new players/several possibly leaving and Moyes still manager staying up is the only hope at the moment.

Re: hopes for the new season
The manager is gone by the end of September.
Antonio gone
Cresswell gone
Fornals gone
SOUCEK FUCKING GONE

A new progressive manager who wants to play front foot football

Some new young players
Two new fullbacks with pace
A central midfielder that can trap a bag of cement and pass the ball more than five yards, a central midfielder that will help bring the best out of Paqueta
A new striker who can actually run and it would help if he can hit a cows arse with a banjo
Bowen to sign a new contract.

Us to still be in the premier league at the end of the season which at the moment looks highly unlikely without a massive shift that I can only see happening if one man has gone

Beating Arsenal would be good and not getting thrashed at Brighton and Brentford.

Re: hopes for the new season
A controversial one, get rid of Areola and get a decent replacement for fab.

Eerie Descent 11:08 Sun Jul 23
Re: hopes for the new season
I think Areola was a poor signing given the finances, but fucking hell, we've got much more pressing matters than replacing him.
